Distribution and Collection

Routine Operations •   Maintenance and repair of 100 miles of water mains and 90 miles of sewer mains. •   Routine and emergency cleaning of sewer mains to maintain flow and capacity, including closed circuit television inspection of sewer lines to assess condition of lines and service connections. •   Maintain on-call status 7 days per week, 24 hours per day. •   Fire hydrant repair and maintenance. •   Maintenance and repair of water valves. •   Maintain facilities and equipment. •   Assist with maintenance and repair activities at Water Plant and Wastewater Plant.

Four employees, one Foreman and one Superintendent perform all duties associated with the maintenance of all water mains and sewer mains. These employees put in countless overtime hours in addition to the regular work hours in an effort to provide water service and sewer service to all citizens at all times. All six employees are to be commended for their effort and dedication to what can be discouraging and at times unpleasant working conditions.
