City asphalt contractors will apply microseal treatment throughout the community on Tuesday(9/2) and Wednesday (9/3). Residents should park in their driveways or off
the streets scheduled for treatment the night before.
• Micro-surfacing is a mixture of asphalt emulsion and aggregate (crushed stone, gravel, and sand) that is applied to the road.
• The process increases durability by sealing the existing pavement.
• Residents can access the roadway within 4-6 hours after the application has cured completely.
In cases of inclement weather and/or mechanical issues, work will resume the next working day.
STREET / ROADWAY ACCESSIBILITY: A few streets will be closed during the application. Most streets will have limited ingress/egress during microsurfacing operations.
Emergency Services will always have access to all streets including during the application process.
See schedule for specific streets and days. Selection is made by Public Works crews on an annual basis and considers overall wear, utility cuts, and age of previous improvements.
