[ARCHIVED] Mayor signs Proclamation for Constitution Week 2025

Const Week 2025

The Margaret Miller Chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) celebrated Constitution Week with Moberly's Mayor, Brandon Lucas, who signed a Proclamation to declare September 17-23 as Constitution Week.
The annual observance commemorates the signing of the U.S. Constitution on September 17, 1787, and was established by the DAR in 1955. It was adopted by Congress and signed into law by President Eisenhower in 1956. The purpose of Constitution Week is to encourage reflection on the significance of the Constitution and to promote understanding of its role in securing American liberties.
Those attending the ceremony at City Hall are (L-R) Phyllis Campbell, Joyce VanHouten, Laurel Seeley, Mayor Brandon Lucas, Gloria Burton, Linda Bondy, Bonnie Kisor, and Marylin Barron. Those interested in DAR activities may contact Linda Bondy at the Randolph County Historical Center (660-263-9396).
