Located behind the Post Office in downtown Moberly on the corner of Reed and Hagood Streets, Tannehill Park was Moberly’s first park.
It has been in existence since the early 1900’s as a location for public gatherings. American soldiers visited the park for entertainment and refreshments when traveling by train on their way to New York, where soldiers sailed for France.
This park is the location of the City’s Time Capsule buried to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the City of Moberly. The Time Capsule will be unveiled in 2016, the 150th anniversary of the City of Moberly.
