It is the duty of the board of plumbing examiners to examine all applicants for certificates of competency under this article in the grade specified in the application, as to their knowledge of and ability to perform the duties and services of the grade for which the application is made. The results of such examination will be certified to the community development director, or his designee, and the results will become a permanent record.
